I finished up The Secret Billionaire’s Baby Surprise and sent it off yesterday (Jan. 7, 2014) to the senior editor at Harlequin Desire. I should hear back on that within 90 days. It was interesting trying to nail the query and synopsis, but a good exercise for me. I’m hoping to get some feedback on my “voice” specifically. That will help me determine what to try next.

I’ve been waiting to get back to my tattooed rocker romance. I was pleased with the first draft, but the revision process is going to be daunting. Needs moar… of various things. Time is a factor.

Meanwhile, I’m still reading like crazy, usually either historical romance or new adult, depending on my mood. Plus, I’m reading more about writing: Stephen King’s On Writing, Anne Lamott’s Bird By Bird, and various others, plus a few helpful books specifically on the category romance genre.

Translating my non-fiction experience to fiction is a challenge. I must push myself to “feel all of the things!” Also, adjectives!
